2020 Features: Shopify Integration + 2020 Summary

November 19, 2020

We’re about to start an epic holiday shopping season. More people will be shopping online and receiving deliveries at home than ever before. Consumers are open to switching brands right now if it means more convenience. So, offering a 5-star delivery experience is essential if you want to take advantage of this unprecedented shift in the market this holiday season.

We’ve been working hard over the past year to release features to make home deliveries simple, fast, and profitable. This post is a quick summary of our favorite features and enhancements from 2020 so far.

  1. Shopify integration
  2. Live GPS tracking
  3. Photo capture as proof-of-delivery
  4. Swap driver routes
  5. Bulk delete stops

1. Shopify integration with Routific

Routific’s Shopify integration allows users to import orders from their Shopify Store directly into Routific. The Shopify Integration replaces the need to upload a spreadsheet of stops or manually enter in stops.

Fulfilling orders is now quicker than ever. You don’t have to tinker with messy spreadsheets, or reformat data to make sure it lines up nicely. The Routific-Shopify integration is a seamless workflow that saves time and mitigates any frustration or human error you might have experienced.

How to get set up

  1. Go to Routific Shopify App listing and add the app to your Shopify Store. Follow the steps to create a free trial of Routific, or connect an existing account.
  2. Import orders from Shopify to Routific
  3. In your Routific account, add your drivers and dispatch as usual

2. Live GPS Tracking

Our traditional web-based driver app, now called Routific Driver Lite, updates routes whenever a driver marks their status at each stop. Our new Routific Driver app takes this one step further and tracks the driver’s live GPS location throughout their entire route.

  1. Log in to or sign up for Routific
  2. Switch to the new Routific Driver app
  3. Dispatch as usual to your drivers
  4. Your drivers will receive an SMS link with their routes like usual. If they haven't already downloaded the Routific Driver app, the link will open the App Store or Google Play Store.

3. Photo capture

Drivers can now complete a contactless delivery using their smartphone. Drivers simply take a photo of where they left a package as proof of delivery before moving on to the next stop. With photo capture you elevate your customer service, everyone stays accountable, and your drivers speed up their efficiency – what’s not to love?

Pro tip: Add customer notifications to notify your customer that the delivery has been completed. Photo capture & customer notifications are the perfect combo for contactless delivery.

4. Swap driver routes

After you've optimized routes, you might notice one route is better suited to another driver.

How do you "swap" one route from one driver to another? Routific can help you do this in just two easy steps.

5. Bulk delete stops

Before, if you wanted to delete a set of stops in one of your projects, you had to delete them one by one. Now you can bulk delete, just like your email inbox.
